Tuition Fees

Our current course fees for courses starting in 2024 / 2025 are:

Full-time degrees

We offer full-time courses which are either validated or accredited by Anglia Ruskin University. All of these courses are full-time.

Our full-time tuition fee is £9,000 for the 2024 / 2025 academic year.

Part-time degrees

We currently offer part-time education degrees accredited by University of Huddersfield.

Our tuition fee for these courses is £3,775 for the 2024 / 2025 academic year.

HNC courses

We offer HNC courses in Engineering which are delivered part-time over two years.

Our course fee for the whole HNC qualification is £7,000.

We set our course fees annually. As students pay a fee for each year of their course, the fees set for future academic years may be higher than those set in the 2024 / 2025 academic year (excluding HNC courses, where the whole fee is set prior).

For each future academic year of your course of study, your fees may be subject to review and increase on a basis in line with the Retail Prices Index (RPI) plus 3%. RPI is a measure of inflation published monthly by the Office for National Statistics which measures the changes from month to month in the cost of a representative sample of retail goods and services bought by consumers within the UK.  This means that your course fees will not be increased each year by more than RPI + 3% from the previous year’s fees and will not ever exceed the maximum amount that the government allows higher education institutions to charge students in the related academic year.

Student Finance

All student finance applications are made to our partnership universities (Anglia Ruskin University for full-time degrees and University of Huddersfield for part-time education and teaching degrees). Our HNC courses are not eligible for student finance.

You can find full details on how to apply for student finance here.

Full-time courses

Tuition Fee Loan

The tuition fee loan covers your tuition fees. It is paid directly to the university centre each year of study. You can find full details on how to apply for student finance here.

Maintenance Loan

The maintenance loan helps with living costs and is paid into your bank account at the start of each term. The amount you can borrow depends on your circumstances – you can complete the student finance calculator on the Student Finance website to estimate your maintenance loan. You can find full details on how to apply for student finance here.

Part-time courses

You may be able to receive a tuition fee loan if your part-time course has a ‘course intensity’ of 25% or more. ‘Course intensity’ measures how much of your course you complete each year, compared to an equivalent full-time course. For further details, please see the student finance website here.

Higher National Certificate courses

There is no funding or student finance available for our Higher National Certificate/Diploma (HNC/HND) courses. Whilst employers tend to fund these courses, you are able to pay the full annual fee at enrolment or split the cost into three equal termly installments.

How to Pay

For our full-time or part-time degrees, you can apply for student finance to cover the cost of your tuition fees. You can find full details on how to apply for student finance here.

If you do not wish to apply for student finance, higher education course fees on Anglia Ruskin University or University of Huddersfield validated courses are payable in accordance to their policies. Please click the relevant link below to be directed to their website which covers their policies.

For our HNC courses, payment is made directly to the college. Whilst employers tend to fund these courses, you are able to pay the full annual fee at enrolment or split the cost into three equal termly installments. These installments are due at the start of each term.

Refunds

Students have a "cooling-off" period of 14 days following first agreeing to the contract. During this period, they can cancel their enrolment for any reason without incurring penalties. Refunds for higher education course fees can be requested through the above link for each validating organisation. Refunds for HNC courses are requested by contacting our student services services team by email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Following the cooling-off period, those who withdraw from a course during the first half-term will be liable for a fee equal to one third of the annual fee. Any fees greater than this amount already paid will be refundable. If paying by installments, we will not pursue the second and third istallment payment. Withdrawal during the second half-term will incur a revised fee equal to two-thirds of the original fee charged. For further details, please see our fee policy.

Additional costs

For some of our courses, there may be some additional costs for books from the reading list, optional trips etc. Further details can be found on each individual course page and it's accompanying course information leaflet.
